This 4-hour course is required by FDOT for all persons who flag traffic. Areas to be covered include section of Part 6; Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices; Fundamental Principles of Traffic Control; Components of a Work Zone; Appropriate flagging techniques; Hand signaling control; Work zone safety; and Types of traffic control devices. Personnel with this card shall not maintain or set up work zones or traffic control devices (see Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic course).(4 Hour)
