Restricted Activities Maintenance of Traffic Course

The United Safety Council offers the Restricted Activities Maintenance of Traffic Class. This course is required for all persons with direct responsibility for placement of work zone traffic control devices for minor work zone setups that include any of the following activities:

Only the following 2006 Design Standards Indexes** apply to these activities:
601 - Two-Lane, Two-Way Work Outside Shoulder
602 - Two-Lane, Two-Way Work On Shoulder
603 - Two-Lane, Two-Way Work Within the Travel Way
604 - Two-Lane, Two-Way Work In Intersection
605 - Two-Lane, Two-Way Work Near Intersection
611 - Multilane Work Outside Shoulder
612 - Multilane Work On Shoulder
613 - Multilane Work Within the Travel way Median or Outside Lane
615 - Multilane Work In Intersection
616 - Multilane Work Near Intersection, Median, or Outside Lane
635 - Work in Vicinity or Railroad Crossing
660 - Pedestrian Control For Closure or Sidewalks

**For work zone setups other than those specifically covered in the above indexes, Intermediate or Advanced Training is required as applicable.

WE CANNOT RESERVE A CLASS SPACE FOR ANY STUDENT UNTIL TUITION IS PAID. TUITION MUST BE PAID AT LEAST 5 BUSINESS DAYS IN ADVANCE OF CLASS. NON-MEMBERS MUST PAY TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF TRAINING DATE TO SECURE A SEAT.
