OSHA 3010 Excavation, Trenching & Soil Mechanics

Class Description:
This course focuses on OSHA standards & on the safety aspects of excavation and trenching. Students are introduced to practical soil mechanics & its relationship to the stability of shored and unshored slopes & walls of excavations. Various types of shoring (wood timbers & hydraulic) are covered. Testing methods are demonstrated and an exercise is conducted, allowing students to use instruments such as penetrometers, torvane chears, and engineering rods. Call us for more info.
NOTE: USF requires that we prepay them for all students registered through the Florida Safety Council. Therefore, we must ask students to pay for these courses when they register.
