OSHA 501 Train-the-Trainer General Industry

Class Description:
(4-Day) Prerequisite:5 years relevant experience in General Industry safety & health field & attendance in a week long general industry safety & health course (OTI 510). This course is designed for private sector personnel from all types of industries to present detailed information on how the provisions of the Occupational Safety&Health Act(OSHA) may be implemented in the workplace. Rights & responsibilities under OSHA, the appeals process, recordkeeping and voluntary protection programs are covered. The course also includes an introduction to OSHA’s General Industry standards & an overview of the requirements of the more frequently referenced standards. Participants who successfully complete the course & pass a multiple choice test will become outreach trainers, authorized to conduct both 10&30 hour General Industry courses. OSHA’s 29CFR1910 will be provided. USF requires that we prepay for all students registered through the FSC so students must pay when they register.
